Staff Accountant

Description

Robert Half has partnered with a growing organization in the Irving, TX area (75039) looking for a dedicated Accounting Specialist for a long-term contract to permanent opportunity. As the Accounting Specialist, you will handle tasks such as:

• Payroll familiarity will help. Most of their payroll is outsourced, but they need to get the timesheets sent to the outsource team.

• When they are recording time for consulting for their clients this person is tracking that in the system.

• Experience working in AP & AR.

• Month end close for payroll.

• Invoicing customers and recording in SAP, Notify management about delinquent payments, re: A/R aging report, and bank reconciliations.

• Coding incoming vendor/supplier invoices in SAP, review receipts and records, confirm appropriate approvals.

• Participate in Month-end close, accruals and reconciliation, general ledger accounting, journal entries. Processing accounts receivable/payable and incoming/outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable/payable data.

• Preparing bills receivable, invoices and bank deposits.

• Reconcile the accounts receivable/payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted.

• Verify discrepancies by and resolve billing issues.

• Facilitate payment of invoices due.

• Monitor financial transactions.

• Communicate with vendors, customers, and colleagues.

• Report the status of accounts and discrepancies.

Additional information includes

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-5pm. In office.

Pay: $31.25/hr. with an increase upon going permanent.
