Staff Accountant

Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. We're looking for people who have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

What you get to do every day

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts Requirements - Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Knowledge of general ledger

• Microsoft Excel experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Accounting

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems

• Vow to meet business deadlines

• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

• Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
