Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a role in the finance industry located in Moorpark, California. The position is a Staff Accountant, focusing on accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and journal entries. This role presents a short term contract employment opportunity, within a traditional workplace setting.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable activities including recording financial transactions and processing payments

• Overseeing the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date

• Monitoring and maintaining fixed assets, ensuring accurate record keeping

• Performing bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

• Preparing and posting journal entries, supporting the financial reporting process. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of Fixed Assets management

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
