Staff Accountant

Description

Well-respected client located in the Chester County area is in need of a Staff Accountant with previous accounting experience within a non-profit organization. The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, processing bi-weekly payroll, balance sheet analysis, maintaining fixed assets, assisting with the month end close process, 1099 processing, maintaining the general ledger, resolving accounting discrepancies, researching accounting data, review and approve online purchasing, and assisting with the annual audit and compliance process. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.

Everyday Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting functions

• Month End/Year End Close

• Invoice Processing

• Maintain and build strong vendor relationships

• Petty Cash Reconciliation

• Maintain balance sheet accounts

• Assisting with responding to accounting inquiries

• General Ledger Support

• W2 Distribution

• Ad hoc special projects as requested

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to

• 2+ years of accounting experience (GL, AR, Cash, Purchasing/Payroll)

• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite

• SAGE experience preferred

• Detail oriented, team player

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
