Stamping Supervisor

Expanding Metal Stamping Manufacturer located in Huntsville, Alabama is looking for a Stamping Supervisor. This person will supervise shift operations and will be responsible for the production of all presses in the stamping area.

Prefer a college degree or equivalent experience.

Experience must include supervising people in production in a metal stamping environment in order to be considered. Candidate must have experience with dies and press operation. Looking for someone preferably with lean manufacturing (Kaizen events, 5S) and continuous improvement experience. Experience leading, coaching, and training people. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Metal stamping experience

• Production management experience in stamping

• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement

• Must have at least 3 years' experience supervising a minimum of 10 production associates, preferably in a fast paced work environment.

• Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

• Interprets company policies to staff and enforces safety regulations.

• Interprets specification and job orders to department associates and assigns duties.

• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

• Analyses and resolves work problems, or assists department associates in solving work problems.

• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate department associates to achieve work goals.

• Maintains time and production records and schedules overtime as needed.
