    Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women's Center and the Women's Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

    Information Technology (IT) implements, supports and maintains all systems at Kapi'olani. The department encompasses the people, records and activities that process the data and information in the organization. The team provides support to users, and acts as the key liaison between the business community and vendors. It also codes, defines criteria, performs testing and debugging, and maintains programs in order to meet the informational needs of Kapi'olani's numerous facilities and administrative offices. Our Telecommunications team is responsible for administering and providing efficient and effective means of communication throughout the Hawai'i Pacific Health facility network.

    If you have excellent managerial and customer service skills, you could help to provide efficient and helpful communications services for the employees and clients of Kapi'olani hospitals and clinics. As the Telecommunications Supervisor, you will supervise the day-to-day operations of our telephone operator services and infrastructure. We are looking for someone with outstanding organizational ability who shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications or related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Three (3) years experience in telecommunications or a position with extensive customer service experience to include successful leadership, management, and/or supervisory experience.

    Preferred Qualifications: Previous lead or supervisory experience.

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
