    About the role

    This position will handle the Warehouse Operations: shipping/receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment and/or other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Responsible for the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.

    What you'll do

    • Prepare documents and shipping orders. Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping using most efficient method of shipping via US Mail, UPS, Fed Ex or other carriers.

    • Contact carrier to make arrangements for shipping and delivery of materials.

    • Identify shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.

    • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages and discrepancies.

    • Confer and correspond with required representative to resolve problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications.

    • Maintain inventory of stock.

    • Receive all material and inspect items for breakage, reporting any damage to purchasing agent. Mark, pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse.

    • Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.

    • Other duties may be assigned.

    High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years related work experience.

    Technical training consisting of completed certificate or diploma in HVAC controls, electrical controls and/or mechanical systems application and design.

    A valid driver's license.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.

    Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conduct basic financial analysis.

    Comprehensive and analytical interpretation of documents. Possess problem solving skills and implement solutions.

    Strong organization, providing attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines on multiple tasks and projects in fast paced, changing environment

    Ability to work closely with customers, subcontractors, engineers, designers, project managers, sales, shipping and receiving and panel shop to help operations facilitate on-time and on-budget projects

    Knowledge of computer hardware and software including applications. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office and adapting learning to incorporate new technology.
