Summary

Perform tactical activities encompassing general warehousing, shipping and receiving, Internal and External Logistics. Coordinate these activities to ensure efficient utilization of Shipping/Receiving resources to optimize the flow of finished goods from production to the end customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Fulfill warehouse requisitions and transact inventory in a real time manner.

• Prepare shipment for non-finished goods

• Receive goods and process in ERP system with paperwork preparation.

• Organize the raw material warehouse and other staging locations with put away and pick activities.

• Perform real time transaction for movements in the general warehouse accurately.

• Interact with couriers and transport companies for the arrangement of receiving and shipment activities.

• Facilitate internal customer inquiries and prioritize and resolve issues quickly.

• Organize manual and electronic files accurately.

• Cleanroom entry.

• Material transfer.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations. -Ability to follow procedure.

• Understand and train on OSHA requirements and shipment of Hazardous Goods.

• Overtime or weekends may be required.

• Strong computer skills.

• Basic computer skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Logistics Technician I position or equivalent

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Read and Write English proficiently.

• 1 to 2 years of Manufacturing and/or Logistics experience.

Physical Demands

• Periodic lifting of up to 35 lbs.

• Physical motion (standing, walking and sitting) up to 8 hours per day total.

• Temperature variations (dock cold or hot)

• Occasionally will need to use ladder to reach shelving at varying heights

Working Environment

• Closed toed shoes due to product movement required.

• Safety glasses.

• Finished goods kept at a constant temperature.

• Must be able to occasional enter a clean room manufacturing environment.

• Fast paced.

• This job also involves hazardous materials and hazardous waste responsibilities which include understanding and complying with hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulations for job duties such as:

• Proper handling, storage, labeling, receiving and shipping, and preparing shipping papers and manifests for hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
