    We are looking for a Waterjet Operator for our afternoon shift (3.00pm -- 1:30am) to join our Indal team at our Mississauga position. This new role is to support our growing business in implementing an afternoon shift to support our increased workload.

    You will report to the Welding Supervisor you will operate a CNC controlled water jet system and garnet suppy and recovery system.     Your Challenge:

    • Operating, maintaining, and repairing CNC controlled water jet system, garnet supply and recovery system

    • Reading and interpreting blueprints and part tolerances per print specification

    • Identifying material types and thicknesses as associated to Work Orders

    • Operating fork truck and safely handle materials

    • Understand proper start-up, shut-down and lock-out tag-out procedures

    • Programming and setup using proper garnet and nozzles

    • Generating multiple part nestings and print layouts utilizing Nesting software

    • Programing and operating Waterjet

    • Troubleshooting program, offset, and condition setting and adjusting for corrections

    • Accurately recording time and production numbers daily/report scrap

    • Ensuring parts meet all print specification

    • Cleaning Water Jet and equipment as required

    • Working on additional equipment or tasks as directed by the Floor Supervisor for production needs or continuous improvement

    • Completing Training specific to the operation of the OMAX 80X waterjet as provided by the manufacturer

    What You Bring:

    • Highschool diploma or equivalent related experience with ability to demonstrate excellent math and communication skills

    • Ability to use overhead cranes, basic hand tools- tape measure, calipers, micrometers, grinders etc.

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specification

    • Understand DXF, DWG, and various print file types

    • Must be able to navigate Microsoft Windows

    • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed (voluntary)

    • Experience with CNC machine operation

    • Experience with Computer Aided Drafting

    • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CPG) and a Canadian government security clearance
