Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are working with a family-oriented company to bring onboard their next accounting detail oriented. This is a fully onsite position in Lake Forest , IL Position Overview: As a Full Charge Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial obligations by overseeing the accounts payable process from start to finish. This includes processing invoices, ensuring accuracy in payments, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full cycle of accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, coding, and payment processing. Review and verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to payment terms and deadlines. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a proactive and detail oriented manner. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions and documentation. Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting as needed. Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounts payable function.
