    POSITION DETAILS

    Bronx Community College seeks a Program Coordinator to join the Office of Student Life. Reporting to the Associate Director for Student Life, the Program Coordinator supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact the administrative department.

    In support of the mission and goals of the City University of New York and Bronx Community College, the Office of Student Life (OSL) develops extracurricular and co-curricular programs to enhance students' learning experiences and personal development.

    The Student Life Coordinator is a key contributor to students' engagement with college life in addition to their academic and leadership skills development.

    • Assist with all Student Life initiatives, in-person and online activities, leadership education, diversity programs and student development projects, commencement and student orientation

    • Maintain and compile program outcomes data; provide reports regularly as needed

    • Prepare, review and monitor ~~~, Jack Kent Cooke, SGA, Kaplan and other student applications

    • Serves as a resource to student groups and/or populations as a consultant and advocate for their concerns

    • Supports marketing and advertisement of student life initiatives

    • Assists with procurement and record keeping (e.g. ongoing ordering of food, beverages and supplies; collection and processing of receipts, invoices, reimbursements; maintain accurate list of expenses)

    • Assists in program research, development and assessment and participates in ongoing trainings

    • Provides front-office administrative support

    • Performs related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and plus two years related experience.

    Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

    The preferred candidate will have

    • Excellent customer service and problem solving abilities

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, within the department and with faculty and other administrators

    • Strong organization and project coordination skills

    • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of student activities

    • Computer skills, particularly Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and aptitude to learn new systems as needed

    • Digital design skills a plus

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    Salary commensurate with education and experience: $44,411 - $56,477
