    The Cost Estimator & Scheduler shall support the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB).

    Responsibilities

    • Develop quantities from acquisition, architectural, and engineering plans.

    • Develop estimates and timelines from concepts and ideas.

    • Manage engineering plans for design, fabrication, and installation from concept description, equipment design, fabrication, installation, and operation.

    • Perform project-earned value applications and assessments.

    • Prepare parts lists and estimates for all design services, when required by the customer.

    • Provide information on the required parts which includes material composition, dimensions, electrical and safety characteristics, procurement sources and cost information.

    • Schedule gas cylinder delivery to laboratories and research cells as required.

    • Prepare and complete inventory processes, and generate reports as required, including always maintaining inventories and the IMMS HazMat database.

    • Manage the planning, scheduling, and estimate the purchase of hazardous materials in accordance with AFRL/RQ Chemical Hygiene Plan, AFMAN 32-7002, WPAFB Installation HAZMAT Management Program (IHMP) and the AFRL/RQ supplement, only after approval by the COR and the AFRL/RQ Unit Environmental Coordinator (UEC).

    • Manage cost estimating for all installation, and operations required by the customer.

    • Develop and maintain a database of costs, rates, and schedules under change control practices.

    • Perform project-earned value applications and assessments.

    • Obtain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for each type of hazardous material purchased, and a copy shall be provided to the ESOH personnel.

    • Complete annual company and customer-required training, as required.

    • Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures.

    • Travel up to 10% as required.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required.

    • 7+ years' experience as a Cost Estimator & Scheduler in a government facility.

    • Must be U.S. citizen.

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust/NACI.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of reading, and understanding engineering drawings to develop an approach for design, fabrication, and installations.

    • Knowledge of Government supply regulations, policy, procedures, and supply nomenclature is desired.

    • Proficient working knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Excellent written, verbal, and people skills required.

    • Ability to determine solutions, using creative approaches, with minimal guidance.

    • Ability to interact verbally and in writing with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management on a professional level.

    • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.

    • Ability to multi-task in a high-performance-based environment.

    • Possess strong critical thinking skills.

    • Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.

    • Ability to comply with applicable codes and standards of contract.

    • Ability to pass customer security requirements required.

    • Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as required.

    • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.

    • Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
