    Under general supervision, the Office Manager III is responsible for the operation of a six to nine provider office and/or is directly responsible for two or more clinic sites. The Office Manager is to effectively handle the day-to-day details of the workflow, ensuring patient and physician satisfaction.

    Position Purpose:

    Under general supervision, the Office Manager is responsible for the operation of a provider office and is directly responsible for hiring and training staff, evaluating staff performance, scheduling staff for their work, establishing office policy and procedure, safeguarding adequate supplies and equipment and ensuring an exceptional consumer and colleague experience. The Office Manager is to effectively handle the day-to-day details of the workflow, ensuring patient and physician satisfaction.

    What you will Do:

    • Assists with the development of the health care delivery system. Maintaining good relations in the community and with other providers.

    • Maintains Physician Schedule. Informs office staff of changes. Coordinates the work schedule of front and back office.

    • Performs month end tasks and prepares productivity reports on a timely basis.

    • Performs collection activities according to policy, including sending letters, making phone calls and sending claims to a Collection Agency when necessary.

    • Assists in budget process. Monitors outstanding accounts receivable.

    • Maintains petty cash fund, making disbursements and recording expenses.

    • Is responsible for all out of office charges (hospital, nursing home). Consults the physician regularly to obtain information and remain apprised of the situation. Ensures the process for processing invoices and statements received from vendors for payments is consistent with policy.

    • Ensures sufficient supplies are ordered and maintained for efficient operations of the clinic.

    • Receives requests for new equipment (clerical and clinical), analyzes the request and makes a recommendation to Clinic Operations Manager.

    • Maintains fee schedule and assists with fee adjustments as necessary.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A minimum of one to two years of post high school education required. Bachelor's degree in business administration preferred. Would consider four years of related office manager experience in lieu of formal education.

    • Requires a minimum of three to five year's prior experience in a managerial capacity, preferably in a health care setting. Knowledge of billing and coding necessary.

    • Is able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team.

    • Is able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.

    • Required to travel within the Siouxland region in order to perform job duties and responsibilities as assigned. A valid drivers license and proof of insurance must be submitted by the employee to their manager and will be maintained throughout employment. ?
