  • Description We are in search of a diligent Payroll Clerk to join our team based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This role is an integral part of our team, responsible for managing payroll functions in a timely and accurate manner. The selected candidate will be adept at handling various accounting software systems, and will be well-versed in payroll taxes, accounts payable, and other accounting functions. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer payroll functions effectively and efficiently, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. - Manage and maintain the integrity of payroll data using different accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System. - Handle accounts payable (AP) processes, ensuring all invoices are paid promptly and accurately. - Manage benefit functions, ensuring all employee benefits are correctly processed and recorded. - Carry out check processing duties, ensuring all checks are processed accurately and on time. - Utilize the ADP - Payroll system to effectively manage payroll functions. - Manage payroll taxes, ensuring all employee taxes are accurately calculated and paid on time. - Utilize the 'About Time' system to accurately track and record employee work hours. - Carry out various accounting functions, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and maintained. - Respond to and resolve any payroll-related inquiries or issues in a timely and detail oriented manner.

    • Prior experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential

    • Familiarity with Ceridian software

    • Ability to operate IBM AS/400

    • Experience with Kronos Timekeeping System and About Time software

    • Knowledge of Accounting Functions

    • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

    • Understanding of Benefit Functions

    • Ability to handle Check Processing tasks

    • Proficiency in ADP - Payroll

    • Knowledge of Payroll Taxes regulations and procedures

    • Experience in a similar role as a Payroll Clerk is preferred.
