    Summary:

    Performs a variety of clerical and billing duties to support the efficient operations of the Patient Financial Services office. The coordinator is responsible for billing functions supporting the psychiatric department and any Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board requirements. This includes, but is not limited to; Great Office Solution Helper (GOSH) entry, eligibility verification, billing claims, and Federal Poverty Level (FPL) verification.     Qualifications

    Required

    HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Successful completion of Certified Revenue cycle certification obtained within one year of employment. 2 years of administrative support experience, preferably in the behavioral health or healthcare setting. 1 year of experience with professional billing systems. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Typing of 35 wpm along with the ability to operate basic office equipment. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

    Preferred

    Experience with physician and/or hospital reimbursement. Experience using Epic Systems. Experience with the ADAMHS Board and the GOSH System Experience working with third-party payers.

    Physical Requirements

    May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office and audio/visual (AV) equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
