    Position Overview

    As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions within the manufacturing environment. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies while providing valuable insights to facilitate informed decision-making.

    Responsibilities

    Safety Compliance

    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent incidents or injury to yourself and others.

    General Accounting Functions

    • Perform accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.

    • Generate and reconcile report data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

    Payroll Processing

    • Review time records, submit payroll, and reconcile pay records to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

    Financial Transaction Recording

    • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

    Reporting

    • Create month-end and year-end accounts payable reports to facilitate financial analysis and reporting.

    Journal Entries

    • Input journal or ledger entries accurately and in a timely manner.

    Management Reports

    • Compile and prepare various management reports to provide insights into financial performance and trends.

    Document Management

    • Maintain accurate filing of all payable documents and support physical files to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with recordkeeping requirements.

    Problem Resolution

    • Proactively resolve problems and discrepancies with invoices, billings, and credits as they occur to ensure accurate financial records.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required

    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally with colleagues and vendors.

    • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
