Overview
Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," is looking for a Payroll Accountant to join the corporate team in our Raleigh, NC headquarters. The candidate will be involved in a variety of Payroll functions and will work with employees at all levels across the firm.
This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities
General ledger responsibilities - review general ledger exports prior to posting, reconcile payroll related accounts
Assist in processing semi-monthly payroll and post-payroll tasks
Assist in processing semi-monthly timesheets and timesheet compliance
Manage tracking of various payroll deductions and reimbursements
Verifications of Employment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
2 or more years of relevant experience
Experience with the following is preferred: databases and reporting; payroll software; and multi-state tax (UKG Pro preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office, including intermediate skills with Excel
Strong interpersonal skills and client service mentality
Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
High degree of professionalism with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
Excellent organization, detail-orientation, and follow-through skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
Ability and willingness to learn new software applications
